- Artist for Buffet Crampon and Vandoren, Nuno Pinto has been described by the press as a “genius clarinetist” (Daniel Bailoni), “brilliant” (Nicholas Cox), and “on par with the great international virtuosos of the instrument” (Bernardo Mariano).

- He studied with Saul Silva, António Saiote, Michel Arrignon, and Alain Damiens, in Portugal and France.

- He is a Coordinating Professor at ESMAE – School of Music and Performing Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, where he has been teaching since 1997.

- PhD in Science and Technology of the Arts from the Portuguese Catholic University.

- Holder of the Title of Specialist from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto.

- Master’s degree in Music from the University of Aveiro.

- Bachelor’s degree from ESMAE.

- Has participated in dozens of international music festivals across Europe, America, and Asia.

- Has taken part in 25 recording projects as a soloist and as a member of various contemporary, classical, jazz, and world music ensembles.

- Has performed as a soloist with over 30 national and international groups, including orchestras, bands, and ensembles, such as the Orquestra Clássica do Porto, Orquestra do Norte, Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, Luxembourg Military Band, ARMAB Symphonic Band, and the Györ Symphonic Band.

- Founding member of the Clarinetes Ad Libitum group, and formerly of the Trivm de Palhetas and Camerata Senza Misura chamber groups, having also performed with some of the finest musicians of our time.

- Was a member of OrchestrUtopica and Grupo Música Nova, and has been part of the Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble since its foundation.

- As a soloist and chamber musician, he is the dedicatee of several works by Portuguese composers with whom he regularly collaborates.

- Has participated in the premieres of over 200 works by Portuguese and international composers, and has recorded 140 works, more than 50 of them live.

- His album “Tempo de Outono” (Artway Records, 2016) was named Album of the Year by the newspaper Jornal Público.

- In 2020, he was awarded the Silver Medal of Municipal Merit – Vila Real.
