This concert, supported by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto, marks the culmination of an initiative and a challenge presented to the participants of the Festival de Música Portuscal. The Double Bass Ensemble and the Chamber Music Groups are formed by young musicians who had not previously met outside the context of the festival and who, over the course of these days, were challenged to prepare music together, drawing on their talent, resilience, and team spirit. The main objective of this initiative was to promote unity, cooperation, and friendship, which continue to grow over time through the shared experience of overcoming artistic and human challenges.
The concert opens with Ibertrio, who will perform one of the most significant works in the chamber music repertoire for piano trio. Their performance will conclude with a work by Portuguese composer Pedro Macedo Camacho, written for the final of the Young Musicians Prize in 2018.
The remaining ensembles will take the stage at the Church of the Misericórdia of Porto, presenting their respective interpretations as the result of the intensive work developed during the festival.
