Born in the city of Maia, he began his musical studies at the age of three. He completed his basic education at the Conservatório de Música do Porto, in the class of Professor Suzanna Lidegran, where he obtained the highest grade. Later, he entered the Academia de Música de Costa Cabral, where he studied with Professor Sergey Arutyunyan, again obtaining the highest grade in the final recital. He graduated from the Royal College of Music (London, United Kingdom), in the class of Professor Ani Schnarch, and later completed a Master’s degree in Performance at the Haute École de Musique (Geneva, Switzerland), under the guidance of Professor Alexander Rozhdestvenskiy. He is currently attending the Certificate of Advanced Studies at the same institution. In 2025, he became a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra.

Throughout his artistic career, he has been distinguished with several prizes in international competitions: 1st Prize at the Concurso Internacional Cidade do Fundão, 1st Prize at the Prémio Luso-Galaico Elisa de Sousa Pedroso, 2nd Prize at the Concurso Internacional Paços’ Premium, 2nd Prize at the Concurso de Violino da Cidade do Porto, and 3rd Prize at the Concorso Internazionale “Città di Villafranca” (Verona, Italy), among others. He has attended numerous masterclasses, having worked with renowned professors such as Aníbal Lima, Pavel Vernikov, Elliot Lawson, Alexander Gilman, Emily Sun, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Svetlin Roussev, Sergey Khachatryan, Francis Duroy, Jack Liebeck, Corey Cerovsek, Benjamin Morrison, and Adela Frasineanu.

He made his solo debut at the Sala Guilhermina Suggia, at Casa da Música, with the Orquestra Sinfónica da Academia de Música de Costa Cabral. In 2019, he performed as soloist with the Orquestra Sinfónica Ensemble, in a tour of several concerts throughout the country. He has collaborated with the Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa, the Orquestra do Norte, and, in Switzerland, with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Orchestre Franck Martin. He is regularly invited for recitals in various halls across the country, accompanied by pianist Djordje Radevski, and has also performed in countries such as France, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, England, and Switzerland.

He is currently the artistic director of the Festival de Música Portuscal.
